Areas of Focus

Life transitions—especially becoming a parent—can bring up old patterns and unprocessed experiences. Parenting and daily responsibilities often feel even harder when we’re carrying our own triggers or unresolved childhood wounds.

I have a special interest in helping people explore how their past may be shaping their present. With a trauma-informed approach, I support parents and adults in understanding and reprocessing attachment-based and complex trauma, so they can feel more grounded and present in their lives today.

Approach to Therapy

Main Modalities:
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Attachment Theory

Compassion is at the heart of my practice. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share your experiences openly and feel truly heard. While I bring both professional training and lived experience to offer tools and strategies, I believe you are the expert in your own life.

My approach is integrative and always tailored to your unique goals and needs. I draw most often from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I am committed to culturally sensitive, neuro-affirming, and anti-oppressive care, and I view therapy as a space of ongoing learning, unlearning, and growth.

On a personal note

I am a neurodivergent parent, step-parent, and I was a public school educator for 18 years and have worked with neurodivergent children for almost 30 years. I grew up in Guelph and am now raising my own family here. When I’m not supporting clients I love to bike, get to the gym, read, listen to podcasts, and knit.

Healing starts with a single step. No matter where you are in your journey, and whatever challenges you are facing, I am here to support you.
